Gently, fate nudges us forward,
guiding us into a galaxy-forest woven through with music,
where we wander in lush, iridescent dreams.

We become the shimmering firefly glow drifting through the forest,
and beside every leaf and along every branch,
we listen for the sound of your breath.

We become tiny orbiting planet,
and beneath every stream of light and every star of the Big Dipper,
we feel the shifting tide of your emotions.

The tree keeps growing—
forward, upward, towards a boundless beyond.
and our wishes keep rooting deeper,
reaching down, reaching afar, reaching toward every open possibility.

And so, almost wordlessly in our shared understanding,
at the turning of every year’s end,
we send our call toward the planets of the cosmos—
once more, then once more, then once more again:
