#TWINS#LOL#LIVE Around The World In Macao is a blast of hits, fabulous costumes, dazzling choreography and anniversary celebrations
(Macao, Nov. 27, 2016) – Cantopop’s biggest female duo group, Twins, comprising Charlene Choi and Gillian Chung, delivered a classic upbeat and glamorous performance for their #TWINS#LOL#LIVE Around The World In Macao concert at The Venetian® Macao’s Cotai Arena, but still managed to throw a few surprises in to delight fans.
Their most ambitious production to date, the show is an interactive experience, with a redesigned catwalk stage different from the one used for Hong Kong and mainland shows earlier in the tour, allowing fans to get up close and personal to the charismatic duo.
With themes of positivity, partying and “LOL”, reflecting their desire that every audience member will “Laugh Out Loud”, Charlene and Gillian treated fans to a musical tour throughout their 15-year career, performing many popular songs old and new, including "Love Bigger Than Sky", "Six Years’ Love", "Feminine", "Kindergarten", and a newly released Mando-pop song composed by renowned Singapore singer JJ Lin, “We Are Gorgeous Singles”.
As Twins’ 50th concert, the show was particularly meaningful to the twosome, and they were very keen to share their joy at reaching the fabulous milestone with Macao fans.
The pair had a few surprises up their glamorous sleeves as well, being hoisted 30 metres above the stage to perform their song "Kite and Wind" which elicited plenty of “oohs and aahs”, and receiving an especially rapturous response when they cartwheeled while performing their hit debut song "Love Tutorial School".
And while the choreography, lighting and staging effects were as dynamic and scintillating as anticipated, it was the costumes that took fans by surprise. Quirky, classic and colourful, outfits included sequins, hologram and fluorescent effects which created a stunning impact.
Tickets of #TWINS#LOL#LIVE world toursold out instantly and the shows received an overwhelming response. Twins then went on to tour Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Foshan and Shanghai, before bringing their exhilarating and highly anticipated concert to The Venetian Macao. After the Macao show, Twins is set to continue their world tour in the U.S.A, Malaysia, as well as Changsha, Dongguan, Nanning and Guangzhou in China.
