Special offers for Macao residents during integrated resort’s opening month
(Macao, Sept. 8, 2016) – With the Sept. 13 grand opening of The Parisian Macao only days away, Sands China Ltd. gave members of the media a preview of the integrated resort’s opening celebration at a press conference Thursday at The Venetian® Macao.
Dr. Wilfred Wong, president of Sands China Ltd.; Grant Chum, chief of staff for Sands China Ltd.; Dave Horton, global chief marketing officer for Las Vegas Sands Corp. and Sands China Ltd.; and Paulo Chan, director of the Macau Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau, were in attendance at the press conference.
Speaking to the assembled press, Dr. Wong said: “Sands China is proud to introduce our newest integrated resort to Macao on Sept. 13, as it represents the realisation of the vision of our chairman, Mr. Sheldon G. Adelson, for the Cotai Strip. The Parisian will open its doors to the public at 8:18 p.m. Sept. 13. And to express our commitment and gratitude to the Macao community during this time of celebration, we are pleased to extend the celebration to two full weeks. Under the umbrella of the Parisian Loves Locals campaign, a series of special offers across all Sands China properties have been designed for Macao local residents to encourage them to join the celebration.”
Sands China’s series of special offers across its properties gives Macao locals the opportunity to enjoy a wide range of non-gaming elements, and is a way for the company to give back to the local community and thank them for their years of support.
During Thursday’s press conference, Dr. Wong revealed some locations on the Cotai Strip to view the opening festivities, including the Eiffel Tower pyrotechnics and lightshow. He also highlighted some of the entertainment and events for the opening, including a performance by multiple-award-winning Belgian soul singer Lara Fabian, and a red carpet appearance and gala dinner performance by legendary Hong Kong actress and pop star Karen Mok. A live feed of the Sept. 13 opening festivities is being provided on all of Sands China’s large outdoor screens along the Cotai Strip, at Sands® Macao, and at other outdoor locations. In addition, the live feed will be broadcast on all in-room hotel TVs on Sands China properties, as well as on indoor screens throughout Sands China properties.
In addition, Horton shared details of the company’s Parisian Loves Locals initiative, which is as simple as “show your Macao ID card and save,” and includes offers such as:
- 50% off Eiffel Tower and gondola tickets
- 20% off Cotai Water Jet tickets
- Up to 30% off accommodation at eight hotels across Sands China’s properties
- Up to 25% off at more than 60 dining options
- 20% off Stomp and Thriller Live tickets

The celebration continues at Shoppes at Parisian Sept. 15 and 16 with an additional series of consumer fashion shows and in-store events.
Inspired by the magic and wonder of the famed City of Light, The Parisian Macao prominently features a half-scale authentic recreation of the Eiffel Tower. The property’s full array of integrated resort facilities includes 3,000 guestrooms and suites, convention and meeting space, international restaurants, spa, kids’ club, health club, pool deck with themed water park, and 1,200-seat theatre, among other amenities.
