(Macao, December 9, 2012) -The Grammy Award-winning Commodores®successfully proved once again that they remain a superstar force, with their concert at The Venetian® Macao-Resort-Hotel's Venetian Theatre Sunday, featuring the R&B legends' well-known tunes and on-stage showmanship throughout the night.
The successful Commodores of the present - drummer Walter "Clyde" Orange, guitarist William "WAK" King and vocalist James Dean "J.D." Nicholas - chose one of their signature songs, "To Hot Ta Trot," to welcome the eager audience of fans, kicking off the concert in high spirit. The Commodores' performance in Macao was not only an entertainment experience, but also an important platform of cultural exchange, considering the long history of the influential group, and its impact on R&B music. An American funk/soul band of the 1970s and 1980s, the Commodores are best known for ballads such as "Easy" and "Three Times a Lady," and won a Grammy Award for the multi-platinum smash single "Nightshift" in 1986.
