Watches are designed to tell time, decorated with elements of fashion and unique details invisible to the naked eye and crafted with enchanting mechanical movements.
Originally founded by Louis Brandt in 1848, it was his sons, Louis-Paul and Cesar, who transformed the company and helped it evolve into an efficient manufacturer of high quality timepieces. In 1894, a pocket watch was fitted with the OMEGA movement and less than a decade later the same name was given to the company. From the industry-defying OMEGA caliber to the quartz movement that defined precision, OMEGA’s adventures have always been rich.
There have been voyages to the moon with NASA, unprecedented numbers of precision awards, official timekeeping at more than two dozen Olympic Games, the Co-Axial, and Master Co-Axial revolutions and, of course a new watch certification process work together with the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS). The Globemaster is the first watch to be tested and approved according to this process, making it the worlds' first Master Chronometer.
Innovative watchmaking is the cornerstone of OMEGA’s heritage but it is inspired by sports timekeeping, our conquests of space, and our advocacy on behalf of worthy organizations and, of course, our enviable role in support of world’s favorite spy.
OMEGA’s watches don't just tell time, they are manifestations of a legendary brand.
