It features the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge, the China Railway Revival Express (Fuxing Hao) high-speed train, the Shanghai Yangshan Deep Water Port and China’s Mobile Internet, among other mega projects. Sands China is the first integrated resort operator in Macao to hold such a screening for its team members.

Invited guests of honour at Thursday’s event included Director of the Economic Affairs Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao SAR Zuo Xianghua, Advisor to the Office of the Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture Lam Io Pak, President of the National Conditions Education Association (Macau) Wang Haitao, Vice President of the Macau Federation of Trade Unions Ho Sut Heng, and Senior Vice President of Human Resources for Sands China Ltd. Zuo remarked: “Sands China is the largest private employer in Macao, so it means a lot for them to hold a company-wide documentary screening. With the city’s increased economic integration with mainland China, Macao plays a crucial role in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. We are very pleased to see that Sands China has put a lot of effort into promoting professionalism education, and that these efforts are bearing fruit. We look forward to further collaboration with local associations in order to develop a more diversified training programme in professionalism education.”

Wang stated: “We are very grateful to Sands China for holding this documentary screening today. Since the establishment of our association a decade ago, our work has been widely recognised by the community. Professionalism education is closely related to many aspects of our lives – economy, tourism, gastronomy and culture, among others. Today’s event shows that Sands China attaches great importance to professionalism training.”

Wen said: “The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area initiative – together with the construction of the tourism and leisure district of Zhuhai and Macao, and the multi-destination tourism zone connected by the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge – will bring unprecedented opportunities to Macao. As one of the leading integrated resort developers in Macao, Sands China is always looking out for the best interests of our team members, especially in terms of career development. To that end, we are pleased to be offering diverse educational opportunities to keep our team members up-to-date with the latest economic and cultural developments in Macao, the Greater Bay Area and mainland China. These are essential to their professional growth, as well as to the continuous development of Sands China and Macao.”

Amazing China is a multi-part documentary series co-produced by the Publicity Development of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and China Central Television (CCTV). It chronicles China’s economic and social achievements by highlighting its new development concepts of innovation, coordination, greening, opening up and inclusiveness. Macao SAR Government – Push for Diversity and Steady Development and The Five-Year Development Plan of the Macao Special Administrative Region (2016-2020) – Cultivate Emerging Industries are promotional clips created by the MSAR government to promote its policies.

As part of the company’s promotional efforts, Sands China has set up professionalism education banner stands in its properties’ back-of-house areas. Meanwhile, video screens show the promo clips and the documentary series to raise Sands China’s 28,000 team members’ awareness and understanding of professionalism education. The company will, at a later stage, hold the screening of the remaining episodes: Energetic Innovations and Opening up of China, for its team members to help them learn more about China's situation and development trends.
