Attractive lucky draw prizes and sumptuous mealsto show appreciation for contribution to company's success
(Macao, September 6, 2012) -As The Venetian® Macao turned five on August 28, a special celebration event was held at the integrated resort's team member dining room with senior executives of Sands China Ltd., including President and Chief Executive Officer Edward Tracy and Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer David Sisk, giving away prizes and souvenirs to the valued team members, and toasting The Venetian Macao's anniversary as they look forward to another great year.
The celebration event on August 28 kicked off with exciting hip hop and kung fu performances, followed by senior executives drawing the names of 28 team members who participated in the Venetian Eco-Friendly Family Tree Lucky Draw, awarding each of them with a bottle of champagne. The Venetian Eco-Friendly Family Tree was specially built by Sands China this year to honor its employees' tremendous efforts and continued support to the integrated resort. Adding to the festive mood, Mr. Tracy and Mr. Sisk drew the names of five team members from across Sands China properties, sharing the joy of the anniversary by awarding each of them a cash prize of MOP 8,888. While Streetmosphere™ performers sang "Happy Birthday" in the presence of hundreds of team members, a cake-cutting and toasting ceremony was held, with senior executives expressing their sincere gratitude to the employees for their hard work and dedication throughout the past five years.
In addition, a Thank You Rally was held for team members on August 31 at 6 pm at the CotaiArena™, followed by the company-wide talent contest Start Your Show 2012 - Shine Now! The rally offered refreshments, special giveaways and a grand lucky draw, featuring over 1,000 fabulous prizes including iPads, mobile phones, digital cameras, household gadgets and complimentary tickets to CotaiJet™, a CotaiArena concert and the kids' playground Qube at The Venetian Macao, as well as many other prizes.
In appreciation of team members' efforts in reaching newer heights with the company, a 'Happy Gathering' event was also held at the Venetian ballroom on August 13. Team members not only enjoyed a variety of Asian and international delicacies, but also exciting performances by magicians from Russia and Ukraine, Chinese face-changing performers and hip-hop dance artistes. The finalists of Start Your Show 2012 - Shine Now! also gave a preview of their talents on stage.
Aside from celebrating the fifth anniversary with its team members, The Venetian Macao also hosted appreciation lunches with local media, trade partners and community partners, as well as organising a tree planting activity at the Ka-Ho Reservoir Lakeside Walk. A special five-day promotion sale featuring The Venetian Macao; Sands® Macao Hotel; Conrad Macao, Cotai Central and Holiday Inn Macao Cotai Central was also held between August 27 and 31, 2012, as a way to spread the joy with locals and tourists alike. In addition, lucky draws have been launched exclusively for Sands Rewards Club members, offering players a chance to win one of five HK$1,000,000 grand cash prizes.
