(Macao, January 28, 2010) – The Venetian® Macao-Resort-Hotel hosted an awards night to recognise about 90 travel trade partners at a special ”Celebrating a Golden Future” thank you dinner on Friday, 23 January.
The Venetian Macao presented 8 prestigious awards to recognise the achievements of travel trade partners from Hong Kong, Macau, China, Taiwan, Korea, Japan, Thailand, India and the Philippines at the gala dinner. The awards included: Travel Trade Partner of the Year, Outstanding Sales Achievement, Most Innovative Print Advertising Campaign, Most Innovative Online Advertising Campaign, Most Effective Media Campaign and three Top Sales Performers of the Year.
Mark Russell, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for The Venetian Macao, thanked the travel trade partners for their hard work which made 2009 a successful year in spite of the global economic downturn. The Venetian Macao experienced significant growth in bookings from key markets throughout Asia and the leisure segment.
“In 2010, The Venetian Macao will create even more new and exciting events to cater to increasing market demands.” Russell said. “The company is confident in continuing to be Asia’s leading leisure destination where anything is possible, as it brings more entertainment, gaming, shopping, dining and children’s activities all under one roof.”
The evening was filled with live entertainment and lucky draws with prizes sponsored by DFS Galleria Macau, Café Deco, Cotai Strip Travel Limited and MALO CLINIC Spa Macau.
