(Macao,
February 19, 2013) – The Venetian®
Macao-Resort-Hotel bid farewell to the year 2012 with three important awards
given by three leading travel magazines in China. The accolades pinpoint the
integrated resort’s unparalleled facilities and excellent service that have
continued to make it among the best hotels in the region.
The three distinctions The Venetian
Macao has received for the year 2012 are:
The China Top 100 Hotel Award from Travel +
Leisure magazine
The Best Travel Hotel from Top Travel magazine
The Top Entertainment Resort Award from Travel
& Leisure magazine, Travel &
Leisure GOLF magazine and the Travel
& Leisure website.
“The Venetian Macao was extremely
delighted and honoured to have received these three prestigious awards,” said
Gunther Hatt, Executive Vice President of Operations, Venetian Macau Limited.
“It’s our mission to provide both business and leisure travellers with the best
integrated resort experience in Macao,
and these awards are a confirmation of that success. We will continue to strive
to be the region’s and Macao’s
number one destination for business, leisure and family travel.”
The revered Travel + Leisure magazine named The Venetian Macao one of China’s
Top 100 Hotels in 2012, the first such award for the iconic resort, recognising it as among the
most elite hotels across China
for travellers seeking the highest standard of service excellence and
incomparable offerings. The Venetian Macao received the prominent title at the
publication’s China Travel Awards Gala Ceremony held in Shanghai on November 16, 2012. Every
year, the award nominees are voted for by the
magazine’s readers, evaluated by industry experts and verified by a panel of editors.
The Venetian Macao’s two most recent accolades
are Top Travel magazine’s Best Travel Hotel Award in December,
and the Top Entertainment Resort Award jointly given by Travel & Leisure magazine, Travel & Leisure GOLF magazine and
the Travel & Leisure website at
the ceremony of the Travel Awards 2012 in January this year. The annual Travel
Awards receives entry registration and has those entries assessed and selected
by third parties, like readers, veteran professionals in the media industry,
executives in the travel industry, frequent business travellers and elites, as
well as authoritative experts, and finally releases the list of winners,
maximizing objectiveness and fairness of the selection.
In
early 2012 The Venetian Macao was also given
four prestigious awards: The Best Luxury Resort in the World by Travel + Leisure India & South Asia, the
Best Hotel in Macao by FinanceAsia Business Travel Poll Awards 2012, the Best
Meetings & Conventions Hotel in Macau by TTG China Travel Awards 2012, and
also the 2011 Macao Green Hotel Award – gold
category by the Environmental Protection Bureau
of the Macao SAR government for the integrated resort’s ongoing environmental
sustainability efforts.
