(Macao, December 12, 2012) - The second Dragon Master Slot tournament launched at The Venetian® Macao, Sands® Macao and Sands® Cotai Central casinos last weekend, giving away HK$1 million in total prize money to the top 20 finalists. Mr. Du was victorious in the final round Sunday, taking home a HK$380,000 cash award for his first place finish in the first round of the tournament.
The qualifying rounds of the competition took place Saturday, attracting over 1,200 slot fans and Sands Rewards Club members to participate, hoping to acquire a chance at a million-dollar win. 400 players participated in Sunday's semi-final round at The Venetian Macao, with the top thirty players competing in the final round for a shot at becoming one of the finalists claiming their portion of the tournament's cash prize pool of HK$1 million. Mr. Du emerged as champion of the first round of the tournament, winning the HK$380,000 top cash prize.
The thirty players in Sunday's final will have a seat in the Royal Dragon Master Slot tournament's qualifying round on March 23, 2013 with a chance to win a share of a HK$5 million total cash prize pool.
The second round of the Dragon Master Slot tournament will be held on January 5 and 6, 2013, with another million-dollar cash prize pool up for grabs. Sands Rewards Club members who accumulate 58 points from slot or table games at any of the three participating casinos between December 17, 2012 and January 4, 2013, or slot fans playing a HK$10,000 cash entry fee, are eligible to join the upcoming tournament.
