(Macao, May 10, 2013) - Sand China Ltd. has purchased 1,900 handmade flowers from the Macau Association of Parents of the Mentally Handicapped to be presented as gifts to diners throughout its properties on Mother's Day weekend.
Female customers dining at any of 10 restaurants located across Sands® Macao, Sands® Cotai Central and The Venetian® Macao-Resort-Hotel will be recipients of the specially made colourful flowers on May 11 and 12.
Handmade flowers will be given away at Sands Macao, May 12 during lunch and dinner at Golden Court, 888 Buffet and Copa Steakhouse; at Sands Cotai Central during lunch and dinner May 11 and 12 at Dynasty 8, Grand Orbit and Rice Empire; and at The Venetian Macao during lunch and dinner May 12 at Bambu, Portofino, North and Canton.
Sands China has a long-standing commitment to corporate social responsibility and is devoted to engaging the local community and supporting charitable causes. Subsequent to its support of Mother's Day last year and Valentine's Day this past February, the company increased its support of the Association by purchasing nearly 2,000 flowers this year. The Macau Association of Parents of the Mentally Handicapped is a non-profit organisation founded in 1992 by a group of parents whose children have intellectual disabilities. The Association provides support and care to its members through a variety of activities, family visits and counselling services.
