The last performance will be held on the Christmas Day.
China's only national ballet company, the National Ballet of China treated the audience to their elegant movements, bringing to life their Chinese version of the classic Christmas production, featuring the ever-popular Tchaikovsky score, telling the joyful story of an old Beijing family celebrating on the eve of the Chinese New Year. The talented ballet troupe's festive performance included a variety of Chinese folklore elements and integrated charming cultural themes such as the twelve Chinese zodiac animals and different Chinese folk dances. The combination of rich Chinese culture and western classical ballet music represents a bold exploration of the cultural fusion between the East and the West, making the production an unmissable Christmas treat with families and friends this December.
Founded in 1959, the National Ballet of China's dancers and musicians are all graduates of professional dance academies and music conservatories across the country. The five-day run of the National Ballet of China - The Nutcracker is another example of The Venetian Macao'slong-term effort to contribute to Macao's development into Asia's top entertainment destination, and a world centre of tourism and leisure, by brining the best cultural performances to Macao.Earlierthis year, the Venetian Theatrehosted anothernoteworthy ensemble performance - featuring theChina National Symphony Orchestra and China's top three tenors.
