  1. The volume of sand used in the reclamation of land for The Venetian Macao, is enough to build one of Egypt's largest pyramids.

  2. 3,095,000 cubic meters of sand was used to reclaim more than 399, 000 square meters of land.

  3. We poured enough concrete to fill 318 Olympic swimming pools.

  4. As many as 11,000 construction workers and 990 trucks entered the site each day. Twenty-two mobile cranes, 41 crawler cranes and 552 mobile platforms were operating on site at the same time during construction.

  5. The total size of The Venetian Macao is equivalent to
    56 football fields. That's big enough to park close to 100 Boeing 747 jumbo jets!

  6. Our catering facilities can cater for a 5-course banquet for 10,000 guests. Imagine all of the cabinet space needed to store the dishes!

  7. If you spend just 5 minutes in each of the 350 Grand Canal Shoppes, it would take you over 29 hours to shop them all.

  8. We welcomed our 8 millionth customer just 133 days after opening. That's an average of 60, 000 visitors per day. On opening night - August 28, 2007 - more than 76,000 visitors entered our doors.

  9. Our ballrooms can host up to 12 individual events at one time. They can even be combined to form one of the largest pillar-less ballrooms in the world.

  10. We have 51 Italian gondolas with serenading gondoliers that ply the waters of our three indoor canals and outdoor lagoon.

  11. We use gold leaves for our interiors, but we're not talking about 1 or 2, we're talking 3 Million gold leaves. That's equal to the leaves of up to 15 oak trees!

  12. Our multi-functional sports and entertainment arena is the largest of any hotel in Asia. It has the capacity to hold up to 15,000 roaring fans!
