Management Trainee - Foundational Management Program
The Foundational Management Program aims to develop Trainees to gain broad understanding of The Venetian® Macao-Resort-Hotel/Sands Macao Hotel business and demonstrate the learning through delivery of various projects relating to the Company's core business areas.
The ultimate aim is to develop trainees to become Supervisors and Managers with a well-rounded set of basic management skills which they can exercise at middle management.
Program Structure
Stage 1: Off-the-Job Learning Stage (5-Module Operation and Supervisory management program)
- Trainees will be introduced to the various concepts and theories that will form the basis for the rotational program.
- This Learning stage will comprise both external course work and in-house run courses.
- Trainees will undertake learning in Organization and Business studies managed by the Regional Director of Training and subject experts from professional institutes.
Stage 2: Management Trainee Rotation Stage (24 Months)
- Successful Trainees will go on a 24-month intensive on-the job training.
- Each Trainee will spend 8 months at different business areas or properties (each of the 3 core business units operation) for objective learning.
- During the 24 months, Trainees will acquire hands on skills and knowledge of the core business areas mentioned in the Scope.
Commencement Date
Two intakes each year in March and August

24 months with 3 rotations
Trainee Selection Criteria
- External candidates need to be Macau resident who have completed a Graduate qualification. Internal candidates need to be graduates from a recognized university.
- Completed a University degree in various disciplines but not limit to, Financial, Business, Science, Commerce/Economics, Construction, Building and Arts.
- Candidates with some work experience will be preferred (an advantage).
- Demonstrate a commitment to pursuing a long-term management career within The Venetian® Macao-Resort-Hotel/Sands Macao Hotel.
- Demonstrated excellent leadership quality.
- Credit average scholastic record and be PC Literate.
- Good command (written and spoken) of English and either (one of the following) Cantonese or Mandarin.
