Premier international education fair offers attendees great opportunities
(Macao, February 9, 2012) – The Venetian® Macao-Resort-Hotel and the Tertiary Education Services Office – GAES of Macao SAR jointly co-organize the Macau
Education Fair which will be hosted from February 24 to 26 at CotaiExpo Hall A, The Venetian Macao-Resort-Hotel. This year, the theme of Macau Education Fair is “The Premier International Education Fair is Your Milestone to Success,” aiming at providing students and parents an opportunity to gather sound information on local and overseas educational trends and information.
With over 6,000 square metres of exhibition space, the Macau Education Fair is targeted to academics, parents and students who seek a professional platform to obtain first-hand information on education and training options. Local and overseas higher educational institutions and consultancies will be available at the fair to promote their institutions, academic courses and certifications. It will provide a venue for visitors to explore educational opportunities locally, regionally and abroad.
Over 80 exhibitors representing universities, colleges, training institutions, local government bodies and banks will set up booths to give out educational and financial advice. The fair has attracted international institutions all over the world such as Macau, Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Australia, Brunei, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, the Philippines, Portugal, Singapore, Switzerland, the UK and the USA.
Mr. Gene Capuano, Vice President of Convention and Exhibition Operations, The Venetian Macao-Resort-Hotel says, “The Macau Education Fair is a perfect complement to the ever-expanding portfolio of exhibitions here at The Venetian Macao. Last year, the Macau Education Fair successfully attracted close to 10,000 visitors. We look forward to even more visitors this year, coming to explore educational opportunities locally, regionally and abroad. The number of exhibitors has been increased significantly this year and more renowned overseas educational institutions will be participating in the fair, providing comprehensive and useful information to visitors.”
Ms. Monie Kuok Sok Wa, Functional Head, Tertiary Education Services Office of Macao SAR remarked, “The Macau SAR Government has always placed great emphasis and devoted tremendous efforts to higher education. The Macau Education Fair provides an excellent opportunity for students and parents from Macau and Pan-Pearl River Delta Region to know more about higher education in different countries and regions and to collect the most updated information. Tertiary Education Services Office of Macao hopes the people who are eager pursue further studies to well use the opportunity to help them make appropriate choices.” More than 60 study talks and seminars will be held during the Macau Education Fair, and visitors will be able to seek advice from education experts and gather information on tertiary education.
