Venetian Macao Hosts Successful Masters in Ink Exhibition

(Macao, August 22, 2012) – A unique exhibition came to a close Tuesday, as Masters in Ink at The Venetian® Macao-Resort-Hotel showcased the final day of the rare selection of traditional Chinese ink paintings on display. The exhibition welcomed over 3,000 visitors during its two-week run.

The one-of-a-kind exhibition was on display from August 9 to 21, and was organised by the China International Exhibition Agency and Beijing Hong Bao Bo Yi Culture Development Company Limited, and co-organised by The Venetian Macao and the Macau Artist Society.


With an estimated value of over RMB 80 million, the collection of 90 paintings featured what are considered to be the most influential and highest quality traditional Chinese ink paintings of the last century, including 40 genuine masterpieces. Many of the works have travelled to dozens of countries around the world, including with Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao on his December 2010 official visit to Pakistan.
