(Macao, September 7, 2012) - With two months still to go before thehighly-anticipatedUltimate Fighting Championship® (UFC®) event arrives atthe CotaiArena™on November 10,The Venetian® Macao-Resort-Hotellaunched a special UFC Experience zone Friday for eager mixed martial arts (MMA) fans and tourists alike, offering a sneak peak at the action-packed competition and a chance to learn more about the origin of this exciting combat sport. The UFC Experience zone is open to the public for free until the day of the match, located in front of the integrated resort's Venetian Theatre.
A kick-off ceremony and unveiling of the interactive zone was held at 5 pm Friday, attended by Edward Tracy, President and Chief Executive Officer of Sands China Ltd., and Mark Fischer, UFC Managing Director of Asia. Four of the most elite UFC fighters - Rich Franklin (U.S.), Cung Le (U.S.), Zhang Tiequan (China) and Dong Hyun Kim (South Korea) - made public appearances and gave media interviews during the exclusive event.

The UFC Experience zone features exhibition panels introducing the origin of MMA and the game rules, free MMA video games and other interactive games, for visitors to get a taste of this combat sport. A kiosk selling UFC signature merchandise such as t-shirts, caps and boxing gloves will soon be set up at the zone area.
