The Voice of China Concerts Huge Successes at The Venetian Macao

 

(Macao,September 22, 2012) -The highly-anticipated two-night sellout concert performances of The Voice of China in Macau didn't disappoint fans this weekend, as 21 talented contestants and the four celebrity mentors of the hit show performed for the first time ever in Macao,at The Venetian®Macao-Resort-Hotel's CotaiArena™ Friday night, delivering a collection of Mandarin and English songs to entertain the excited audience.Saturday's additional concert saw the 21 contestants once again blow the audience away with their talented performances at the CotaiArena, southern Asia's top concert venue.

 

At Friday's show, the 21 contestants launched the concert as an ensemble, singing "I Believe" to welcome the eagerly-awaiting audience. Each of the contestants then gave impressive solo performances of various songs, including "Rolling in the deep," "The Prayer," "Baby," "Someone like you," "Angel," "Mr. Lonely" and "I love you China," among others. The night reached its first climax when one of the four celebrity mentors, Mandopop singerYang Kun, appeared on stage and performed three songs  in a row, including his hit "Doesn't matter." The excitement continued in the second half of the concert, whenaward-winning Taiwanese 'God of Music'Harlem Yu andChina's very own 'King of Pop'Liu Huan eachperformed their own smash hits. Well-known for her buoyant personality, Mandopop diva Na Ying's performance upped the atmosphere at the CotaiArena, another major highlight of the spectacular event. The  contestants all appeared on stage together again at the end of the concert, performing "The young battle field," surely leaving the audience with a night worth remembering. 

 

Saturday's concert featuring the talented contestants was again a spectacular night, as each of the talented hopefuls of the hit competition contributed to on an exciting, energetic show for their cheering audience of fans.

 

A reality TV talent show, The Voice of China has been an enormous success sincehitting the airwaves in July,garnering a devout following of 120 million TV viewers plus 400 million morearound the world online. The partnership between Star China Media Ltd. and The Venetian Macao to bring The Voice of China to Macao saw overwhelming demand. Tickets for Friday's debut gala concert sold out within two hours. An extra concert night was added for Saturday, but once again, tickets were all gone within a few hours of going on sale.
