Integrated resort leader to bring China’s superstars to Macao
(Macao, March 20, 2012) – The Venetian Macao-Resort-Hotel announced on Thursday its cooperation with Star Group Ltd. China in co-organising and hosting the Star TV 16th China Music Awards at The Venetian Macao’s CotaiArena™ on April 13, 2012. The announcement was made at a March 15 press conference in Shanghai, at which it was revealed that over one hundred singers, movie stars and celebrities from all over the world will attend the prestigious awards show, including a yet-to-be-revealed international superstar providing a special performance during the event.

As the most influential music brand in all of Asia, Channel [V] has successfully telecast 15 China Music Awards. Some of the high-profile stars nominated for this year’s awards include Jane Zhang, Zhang Jie, Anson Hu and Jaycee Chan. This year’s Star TV China Music Awards will be presented with a theme of “Future,” with state-of-the-art visual technology welcoming its guests and audience members. The awards show launched in 1994 and has since gathered the nation’s top music industry talent in host cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Taipei and Chengdu. It is the only Chinese music awards show that will be telecast around across China and around the world.
