Handmade flowers from local association given to diners
(Macao, May 13, 2012) – In celebration of Mother’s Day and to support the local community, Sand China Ltd. purchased 1,100 handmade flowers from the Macau Association of the Parents of the Mentally Handicapped, presenting them as gifts to diners throughout its properties to spread cheer and joy during the special day.
The Food and Beverage team of Sands China distributed the specially made flowers to customers at dining outlets at Sands® Macao, Sands® Cotai Central and The Venetian® Macao-Resort-Hotel Sunday. Colourful flowers were given away at 888 Gourmet place, Golden Court and Copa Steakhouse at Sands Macao; Dynasty 8, Grand Orbit and the Conrad Lounge at Sands Cotai Central; and North, Canton, Bambu, Portofino and Bar Florian at The Venetian Macao. Diners were delighted by the pleasant and heartfelt surprise and were thankful for the expression of gratitude and honour to mothers in the community.
During this special celebration, dining outlets throughout Sands China’s properties featured different Mother’s Day specials. Families took the opportunity to gather together and enjoy sumptuous buffets, yum cha and a variety of à la carte selections. Happy mothers and their children shared laughs and warm moments together.

The Macau Association of the Parents of the Mentally Handicapped is a non-profit organisation founded in 1992 by a group of parents whose children have intellectual disabilities.
