(Macao, November 14, 2012) - Autumn is the best season of the year to savour rare truffle creations, and award-winning Italian restaurant Portofino at The Venetian® Macao-Resort-Hotel is going to present its guests with an exclusive, limited-time menu of white truffle delicacies. Grab your chance to enjoy the highly rare mushrooms all the way from Italy while seasonal stocks last!
From November 16 to mid-December (promotion duration subject to stock availability), Portofino will offer a special selection of seven exquisite white truffle dishes for gourmands to choose from during lunch and dinner hours:
- Warm salad of chanterelle and porcini mushrooms with poached egg, Parmesan shavings and white truffles
- Fingerling potato and leek soup with white truffles and pancetta chips
- Home-madetagliolini with Parmesan, Ardoino olive oil and white truffles
- Truffle ricotta and egg yolk raviolo on a bed of sautéed mushrooms with white truffle shavings
- Vialone Nano risotto with Pecorino Sardo and white truffle shavings
- Veal tenderloin with truffle tortello, grilled asparagus and shaved white truffles
- Pan fried ocean trout with Parmesan fondue, porcini mushrooms and white truffles
The chefs of Portofino will also be featuring a four-course white truffle set menu featuring some of the seven delicacies from the à la carte menu, at MOP 888 per person. The set menu features a warm porcini and chanterelle mushroom salad, home-made tagliolini, and the guest's choice of veal tenderloin or pan fried ocean trout, and a walnut cream with caramelized pear and fresh truffle for dessert.
