Venetian Macao performance first stop on Asian leg of all new concert tour

(Macao, May 17, 2012) – Hong Kong pop trio Grasshopper is bringing its brand new Glamour on Stage concert to the CotaiArena™ at The Venetian^® Macao-Resort-Hotel on June 16, 2012, for an inaugural performance to kick of the Asian leg of the new tour, with ticket sales beginning Monday.

Having recently made its international debut in the United States, the Glamour on Stage tour features a new stage design, marvellous styles and all new music arrangements, along with stunning wardrobes designed by none other than the trio’s own Calvin Choi. Grasshopper fans are not likely to be disappointed when the superstars take the stage this June, as the group promises to showcase its best performance ever.

Grasshopper formed in the 1980s and was recognized by pop diva Anita Mui, noting their outstanding dance performance. They were soon invited to guest-perform with Mui, marking the emergence of their successful music career as a trio pop group. Grasshopper has since released over 40 Cantonese and Mandarin albums and has received numerous music awards, including the Golden Band Group Award by Commercial Radio for six consecutive years. The band has performed in Taiwan, mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and the United States, reaching out to a fan base of millions.

Tickets for the 8 pm, June 16 performance of Grasshopper’s Glamour on Stage Live in Macao go on sale Monday, May 21, 2012 at 10 am, at various Sands China box offices*. They can be purchased in one of three categories: HKD/MOP 780 (A Reserve), 580 (B Reserve) and 380 (C Reserve).
