(Macao, November 15, 2012) -The "Korean wave"is set to hit Macao again this December as popular South Korean boy band 2PM will make its Macao debut on December 22 at TheVenetian® Macao-Resort-Hotel's CotaiArena™. 2PM was originally formed by seven members - Junsu (now known as Minjun), Nichkhun, Taecyeon, Wooyoung, Junho, Chansung and Jay Park (who left the group in September 2009) - debuting in the K-pop industry in September 2008 with the mini album Hottest Time of the Day. In April 2009 the group launched its second mini album 2:00PM Time For Change, with its single "Again & Again" winning the group widespread popularity and a huge fan base not only in South Korea but also across Southeast Asia. The group's smash hit "Heartbeat" - from its their first studio album 1:59, released in November 2009 - quickly rose to the number one position on multiple music sales charts. Within a month of the album's release, 2PM was named "Best Male Group" and "Artist of the Year" at the Mnet Asian Music Awards, one of the most significant annual music award events in South Korea.In addition, the single "Again & Again" was awarded "Song of the Year" in Korean Broadcasting System's (KBS) end of the year Music Festival in late 2009.
