Lee, whose singing technique is widely described as flawless, is not only a singer but a lyrist, actor and master of ceremonies. He rose to prominence in the Hong Kong Cantopop industry in early 1990s, having held his first-ever solo concert in late 1993, with the show selling out in just a couple of hours. Lee was named "Most Popular Male Singer" three times at the Jade Solid Gold Best Ten Music Awards Presentation in Hong Kong, in 2002, 2003 and 2005. In 2003 he also won the "My Favourite Male Singer" award at the Ultimate Song Chart Awards Presentation. His classic hits such as "Red Sun," "I Won't Sing," "Flying Flower" and "The Grasp of Love" have remained as many fans' all-time favourites till now.
