(Macao, August 20, 2012) – A lucky baccarat player from Hong Kong, Mr. Wong, won HK$380,000 in cash for his first place finish Sunday night in the first of two Dragon Master Baccarat satellite tournaments at The Venetian® Macao-Resort-Hotel.
729 Sands Rewards Club members participated in the qualifying rounds of the contest at the Sands® Macao and The Venetian Macao casinos Saturday, August 18. A total of 144 players successfully made it to Sunday’s semi-final round at The Venetian Macao, from which 16 lucky final-round players competed for the first championship title of the Dragon Master Baccarat tournament. Each of the contestants in the final round received a share of the HK$1,000,000 total cash prize pool.
One more satellite tournament will be held on September 8 and 9 at the Sands Macao and The Venetian Macao casinos, with another million-dollar cash prize pool. A Royal Dragon Master Baccarat tournament will take place soon after, on September 22 and 23, with a HK$5,000,000 total cash prize pool.
