2008) – Renowned
best-selling female pop vocalist of all times, the top musical
artist and one of the most recognized international talents, Celine Dion,
will perform at The Venetian Arena on Saturday 15th March at 08:30pm
. Tickets will go on sale on 1st Feb 2008.
Born in a highly musical family and
nurtured for musical stardom from a young age, Celine's extraordinary talent
brought her to the attention of her personal manager (now her husband) when she
was only twelve years old. Together they ensured that her vocal abilities
and natural artistry would make her the brightest international musical
star. A year ago, in Spring 2007, Celine broke the record of 200 million
albums sold and still her success continues. Her considerable
achievements in the music industry are recognized worldwide and she has earned
numerous international awards and accolades including the Felix and Juno Awards
from her native Canada.
Her major international breakthrough was
achieved with her song "Beauty and the Beast" in 1992, for which she
was recognized with an Academy Award (Oscar) for best original song, and this
was soon followed with Grammy Awards in the USA and World Music Awards in
Europe. Another song with which Celine is closely associated is the
unforgettable "My Heart Will Go On", which has also brought her
numerous awards and which smashed many records in the history of the music
industry. Other great hits include "The Power of Love",
"Because You Loved Me", "It's All Come Back To Me Now" and
"I Am Your Angel".

After completing an amazing four-year nightly performance in a
five-star theatrical show at Caesars Palace, Las Vegas in December 2007, Celine launches her "Taking Chances World
Tour" in February 2008, hitting South Africa, Japan, Macao, Korea,
Australia, Shanghai, Beijing, Europe, Canada and USA. Celine
performed at Hong Kong Kai Tak in 1999 and this tour in Macao
marks her return to China
after nine years!
The
Venetian Arena at The Venetian Macao Resort Hotel offers seating for approximately
15,000 and can be configured to hold events of many kinds. This multi-purpose
arena comes fully equipped with world-class broadcasting facilities including
TV broadcast level lighting, full wireless and fiber optic capability. The
venue also has a removable floor which can accommodate a range of sports
pitches and a surface that can be replaced with anything from wood to ice. It
can host

Celine
is deeply committed to various charitable causes and is active in promoting and
sponsoring health campaigns. She makes generous donations to help support
