Industry leader recognizes the best of the best in luxury accommodation
(Macao, December 1, 2011) – The luxurious Palazzo suite of The Venetian® Macao-Resort-Hotel has been named “Best Presidential Suite of Macau – Most Elegant” in the annual Hurun Presidential Awards. The coveted award was presented by Rupert Hoogewerf, founder of Hurun Report, at a ceremony Friday (November 25) at The Venetian Macao.
The Hurun Presidential Awards recognize outstanding luxury hotels, with an aim to further lift the benchmark of amenities and services of the hospitality industry and enhance the experience of guests, while facilitating and shaping Asia’s luxury travel market. Since their debut, the Hurun Presidential Awards have been hosted in Macao, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Beijing.
“We are delighted to have received this recognition by Hurun,” said Gunther Hatt, Executive Vice President of Operations, Venetian Macau Ltd. “ The Venetian Macao provides an unparalleled luxury integrated resort experience, not only in the quality of our lavish suites, but in our premium entertainment, dining, retail and meetings and convention offerings. We will continue to strive to be the market leader in providing the highest standard of service and entertainment to our valued guests and visitors, within the most luxurious of surroundings.”
The Hurun Report, renowned for its annual “China Rich List” of tycoons, chooses the award winners only after one month of fieldwork and stringent evaluation, using a scorecard that takes multiple criteria into account, such as location, view, design, amenities and facilities. The Venetian Macao offers 3,000 luxurious and spacious suites, each spanning at least 70 square metres, featuring a sunken living room, private bedroom and a lavish bathroom. The award-winning Palazzo suite has three bedrooms set among nearly 600 square metres of space. Four of the eight luxury suites have private swimming pools, and all come with butler service. The ultra-exclusive suites are available by invitation only and are not open for general booking. In addition to luxury accommodation, the integrated resort features the Grand Canal Shoppes, international restaurants, a Cirque du Soleil® theatre, the 15,000-seat CotaiArena™, upscale gaming facilities that offer a unique Asian gaming experience and one of the largest convention, meeting and exhibition centres in Asia.
